How do I get my tickets and wristbands?

To get your wristband you first have to get your tickets. There are different tickets/passes available and you can get them here. Psst, if you are coming from out of town and have purchased a 3 day pass, Rock the Kooternays is providing an option to purchase a camping ticket for Moir Park (Trailers and small RV's only).

There will be a call/box office open each day of Rock the Kootenays (August 8-10). The call/box office will be located inside Western Financial Place (WFP lobby). You’ll need to have your tickets for every member of your party (even kids), and don’t forget your valid photo ID. Stay posted for details.

What Should I Bring?

Seating! Like last year there will be NO seating provided. Don’t want to haul a lawn chair? You can still bring a beach blanket or something similar.

Prepare for ANY types of weather, as the show will go on. First, make sure you have the correct clothing (maybe even a rain jacket). You’ll also be able to bring the following weather accessories: empty refillable water bottles, hats, sunscreen, and umbrellas (not large beach umbrellas).

Is there anything I can’t bring that I should know about?

There will be no outside food and beverages, so leave the cooler at home! There will be on-site food trucks, and don’t worry there will be a wide variety for all our festival go-ers.

If you are bringing any children, please remember their own seating as you cannot bring any wagons in. The only animals allowed into Rock the Kootenays are registered service animals.

Rock the Kootenays wants everyone to take pictures and videos so you can share them with your friends and family, however, any audio recording devises, professional cameras with detachable lenses, tripods, or selfie sticks are prohibited. And to make sure everyone can get a clear view there will be no large signs, flags, or laser pointers allowed on to the grounds.

Speaking of photos, we know that everyone has their concert outfits ready to go, but make sure you aren’t including any chains or chain wallets. Folks wearing clothing/accessories that are discriminative, refer to drug paraphernalia, or are appropriative will NOT be let through the gates.

Like any festival, weapons (knives, ammo, pepper spray, mace, ect.), illegal drugs, or fireworks are strictly prohibited.

Okay but what about parking?

All parking lots will be first come first served. There are a few public parking lots in the area, but we would be lying if we said there wouldn’t be any walking. This year there will be NO parking on the east side of the Western Financial Place. Your closest street parking is further down 2nd Street North, however the street fills fast. There are other public parking lots in the downtown Cranbrook area, and you can find them all here.
