The study was commissioned by Cranbrook Tourism in partnership with the event organizer, RM Events. The report outlines that Cranbrook’s economy benefited from just over $407, 000 in economic activity as a result of the successful hosting of the Wasa Lake Triathlon. The study also indicated nearly half a million dollars ($470,000) in economic impact for the province of British Columbia.?

Cranbrook Tourism will be operating the Visitor Information Centre and offering visitor services to the public in 2022. Cranbrook Tourism will be changing the mode of service delivery to include 2,800 total hours of mobile and on-demand visitor information services. That includes attending the Cranbrook Farmers Market and other events in 2022, in addition to the ongoing operation of the Elizabeth Lake Centre from June 1 to September 5, 2022.

The City of Cranbrook is a recipient of $50,000 from the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI-BC) for the development of its Tourism Master Plan. One of 27 applicants to the ESTI-BC, the city was successfully awarded the grant funding.

St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino has made the decision to temporarily cease all of its operations, with the exception of the Casino of the Rockies, for the winter season on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 12. St. Eugene will re-open fully for the 2021 spring and summer in April .

The BC Hockey League (BCHL) and the City of Cranbrook are proud to announce that the expansion Cranbrook Bucks Hockey Club will be joining the Interior Division of the BCHL starting in the 2020/2021 season.

The St. Eugene Resort in Cranbrook, BC has announced a significant renovation of their on-site Casino of the Rockies, which first opened in 2002. Work for the redesign is set to begin on April 8, 2019, and is expected to take under three months, wrapping up on June 30, 2019.
