Indigenous
The Ktunaxa people have lived on the land surrounding Cranbrook for more than 10,000 years. Their unique language is distinct from any other language in the world and their history and traditions are still alive today.
The Ktunaxa Nation transformed the St. Eugene Mission residential school into the indigenous-owned luxury hotel, casino, and golf course at St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino. Spend a night or a day in this spectacular place where you can visit the interpretive centre that honours Ktunaxa history, including the renewal of land and social rights.
