Island Lake has been setting the standard for backcountry skiing and lodge experience for over 30 years. Many iconic videos and photos have been created in their stunning terrain. The already exclusive experience will be augmented with various Covid related protocols this winter to provide the safest ski experience possible. Their legendary ski and snowboard terrain in the Rocky Mountains includes big alpine bowls and features as well as perfectly gladed tree runs - all blanketed by a stunning amount of snowfall. They average about 45 feet of snow per winter season! Skis and snowboards are provided, and groups have two guides to lead them through the terrain. You don’t have to be an expert or extreme to enjoy this, just a strong intermediate skier or snowboarder.
In addition to the world-class skiing, guests are pampered with the high quality and unique culinary offering, of which they are famous. A full spa, comfortable lodges and a high level of guest service also round out the experience. Accommodation is provided in three beautiful log lodges with sublime inspiring mountain views.
