COTR Museia: The Freedom Libraries featuring Guest Speaker Mike Selby

Join us for the COTR Museia, a seasonal celebration of learning presented by College of the Rockies in partnership with the Cranbrook Public Library. This public lecture series honours the Greek muses who inspire science, literature, and the arts. In The Freedom Libraries, award-winning researcher Mike explores the history of embattled librarian-activists during the Freedom Summer of 1964, drawing connections to today’s book bans targeting literature on race and LGBTQ identities. Admission is free, but pre-registration is encouraged to help manage capacity.
