EK Moose Hide Campaign Gathering

May 16, 2024 Rotary Park

The EK Moose Hide Campaign Gathering will be held in the gazebo area of Rotary Park.

The Moose Hide Campaign began as a BC-born Indigenous-led grassroots movement to engage men and boys in ending violence towards women and children. It has since grown into a nationwide movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians from local communities, First Nations, governments, schools, colleges/universities, police forces and many other organizations – all committed to taking action to end this violence.

A full list of speakers is still to be determined but the ceremony opener and first speaker will be Chief Joe Pierre.

There will be a gathering in the gazebo area of Rotary Park where speakers and Ktunaxa drum group Numa Ka'kin will share, sing and drum in an effort to educate, heal, and show commitment to action against gender-based violence and towards reconciliation.
