Cranbrook Men's Shed Info Session

April 20, 2024 Cranbrook Public Library

Join the Canal Flats Men's Shed on Saturday, April 20 as they cme to Cranbrook to share their experience, enthusiasm and what they learned creating their Men's Shed. The group will also share how to get a Men's Shed off the ground and what some of the 50 other BC Men's Sheds are up too.

What is a Men's Shed?

Men's Sheds are all about men's health and wellbeing, their family and community.

The first Men's Shed was started by a woman 30 years ago.

There are about 50 Men's Sheds in B.C., 100 in Canada and 3,000 worldwide.

Women are welcome to attend the information meeting. If you have a friend, grandfather, father, husband, uncle, brother or son (or just suffer from husband under foot syndrome) who would be interested in finding a creative and purposeful diversion when they are not rock climbing, biking or watching tv, this is the group for you!

At this meeting you will learn how Men's Sheds get established.  It's not that hard and there is great support available.

Men's Sheds are a fun place to hang out, a place where it is easy to make friends. It just takes a few good men to get it started.
