Get ready, Cranbrook - Spirit of the Rockies Festival is back and bringing the energy! Formerly known as Sam Steele Days, this beloved annual celebration transforms the city into a weekend-long party filled with community pride, big smiles, and nonstop action.
From parades and pancake breakfasts to live entertainment, festival eats, family activities, markets, tournaments, and competitions, Spirit of the Rockies is where Cranbrook comes together to celebrate the very best of summer in the Kootenays.
Head to the Central Fairgrounds at Balment Park for a packed lineup of fun - featuring food festival favourites, Kidz Fun Zone, live stages, bocce, strongman events, logger sports demonstrations, show & shine, and more. Plus, don’t miss signature events happening throughout the city including the St. Eugene Grand Parade, slo-pitch tournaments, and the always-inspiring Cranbrook Youth Ambassador Showcase.
