Horse Packing Clinic

Join a full-day Horse Packing Clinic at Fort Steele Heritage Town on May 2, 2026, and gain practical, hands-on backcountry skills with experienced instructors from Sawtooth Outfitters. This interactive clinic runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and explores multiple packing methods, animal care, and backcountry safety. Participants will practice with knowledgeable instructors and horses while learning essential techniques for safe and effective horse packing.

Sponsored by Back Country Horsemen in partnership with Sawtooth Outfitters, this clinic is open to ages 12 and up. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No prior experience is required. Lunch is included. Tickets are $225 plus service fee, and advance registration is required.
