Historic Railcar Tours
July 2, 2020 - October 1, 2020 |
Tuesday - Saturday
Experience life on the rails with the Cranbrook History Centre's three distinct historic railcar tours. If you have a taste for luxury, make sure to join the 45-minute comparative tour which introduces train travel across the 20th century, from the invite-only executive British Columbia car to the small caboose where the freight train conductor spent his days. Then, spend 45 minutes exploring the Trans-Canada Limited 1929 train that took first class passengers from Montreal to Vancouver in just over 90 hours. Finally, travel over a century into Cranbrook's past with our 15-minute visit of the Soo-Spokane wooden trains cars built at the turn of the 20th century. If they all sound interesting, then the Grand Tour option is for you! The set of 3 tours takes place 3 times daily starting at 10:15am, 12:15am and 2:00pm Tuesday through Saturday.
