Ducks In Trucks - The Kootenays First Car & Truck Rally

August 17th, 2019 at 9:30am, spend the day on a fun, family-friendly scavenger hunt starting at Elizabeth Lake and ending with a free BBQ at Alpine Toyota! 

Use your cell phone to locate hidden gems while learning about our wetlands right here in the Kootenays! The more gems you find, the more DUCK BUCKS you earn. Use the duck bucks towards tons of awesome merchandise and prizes during the end party at Alpine Toyota!

Ducks In Trucks is a fun and informative way to learn what Ducks Unlimited Canada has done in the Cranbrook area to develop and preserve wetlands.  

To Join the Rally: 
1) Upload  Scavify app to your cell phone. 
2) Search "Ducks in Trucks".  
3) Register your team.

• No registration fee to attend the event, no age limitation to register but children must be accompanied by an adult.

• Aug 17 arrive at Cranbrook Visitor Center at Elizabeth Lake parking lot at 930 am for 10am start

• This is a self guided vehicle tour that will take you on a loop from Cranbrook to TaTa Ck to Wasa and return to Cranbrook. The roads you will travel are well maintained paved and or gravel with walking sections of short distances and easy grades.

• There is no time limit on your travels and you can start and finish at your leisure.

• A family with young children or strollers can easily navigate the sites.

• Tasks will be uploaded to your phone on Aug 17

• 27 tasks can be completed on the Scavify app wins points every 50pts earns you $10 duck ducks. 1750 total points available!

• Tasks are comprised of Q&A, selfies, videos, hidden codes all done on your smartphone

• Party at Alpine Toyota by donation to Ducks Unlimited Canada starts at 5pm till 8pm with games, prizes for best photos, most donations. Mike burgers served up by Mr Mikes Cranbrook, live music by The Band of Brothers

• Suggested items to have with you on the tour: water, comfortable walking shoes, snacks or lunch, binoculars and optional bathing suit and towel as you will be travelling past Wasa Lk Provincial Park beach.
