2022 Kootenay Fun 5

Please join us for the LIVE, ON-SITE 5k or the VIRTUAL event!  Our theme for 2022 is MOVE! and we encourage everyone to move on over to Kootenay Chrisitan Academy on Saturday May 7 for the event! If you prefer to participate in the Virtual 5k from May 1-14, please register specifically for that ticket-type.

Looking for a fun run for the entire family?

With an enormously successful virtual event last year that had over 500 registrants despite the Covid lockdown, the SEVENTH annual KootenayFun5 in Cranbrook is an event not to be missed!  Our event will be live, on-site AND virtual. You choose which ticket you'd like to buy.

For Live Event: Featuring a scenic 5K flat, fast course, this is the perfect race for novice and experienced runners, joggers and walkers alike. Safe and friendly for kids of all ages allowing everyone in the family to join in on the fun. After completing the race, all participants are invited to stay for the post-race festivities with food, award ceremony and much more! All this makes the Kootenay Fun 5 a race that cannot be missed!  

All participants, registered before April 15 receive a Kootenay Fun 5 t-shirt, an amazing swag bag full of goodies from generous businesses and a race bib with timing chip.

The top three male and female runners in each age category will win a medal and the top overall male and female runners will receive a new pair of running shoes from Gerick Sports!

For Virtual Event: Please join us for a VIRTUAL 5k if you do not wish to particpate on-site! Plan to knock out a 5k at a place and time of your choosing!  Here's how it works:

• Anytime from May 1 - May 14, run/walk/jog a 5 km distance - the trails, the road, your treadmill...
• Enjoy the challenge together with those in your "bubble" or head out alone!
• Take a screenshot of your tracking devise - your Fitbit, your running app, or a pic of you on the route!
• Upload to our Facebook page with hashtag #kf5 or email us at kf5@kcacademy.ca
• Your name will then go in a draw for the numerous prizes!
• Pick up your t-shirt and swag bag at a designated time after May 14, at Kootenay Christian Academy, safe distancing and sanitary protocols in place.
