Baker Park is only 4 blocks from downtown. The park was named after one of Cranbrook's first European settlers, Colonel James Baker. Baker Park is an open green space for families to enjoy.
In winter, when conditions are right, Baker Park also has two outdoor ice-rinks, one for public ice-skating and the other rink for hockey.
The park also has a portion of the paved Rotary Trail. The trail winds through the city of Cranbrook from Idlewild Park to the Chief Isadore Trail and Cranbrook Community Forest.
Most of the area is a campground, with full-service RV sites, partially-serviced and tent sites by the creek.
