Cranbrook Arts' newest location is the formal art gallery and workshop space located at 1401 5th Street.  Since being completed in 2019, the purpose of this building has been to provide a space to facilitate the growing need to develop the arts in Cranbrook. This space provides a facility that is a dedicated art gallery, workshop, and teaching space for activities such as printmaking, pottery, fibre art, painting, scultping, amd more. As of January 2020, 1401 ArtSpace, "Phase One" of renovations were completed, finishing the main classroom. In January of 2021 “Phase Two”, an open gallery space and another classroom has been completed. “Phase Three” is bringing a pottery studio to the mix.

1401 ArtSpace is a place to be used for a variety of workshops and art programs for all ages with even more artistic opportunities coming. 

When not in use for Artistic expression, this multi use environment is also open as a rental space that will accommodate many applications. 1401 ArtSpace mandate is to be a committed part of our community. They are excited to offer 1401 Art Space as a wonderful place to rent to meet community needs.
