Last One Standing Backyard Ultra

The Last One Standing Backyard Ultra is a backyard ultramarathon happening alongside the Kootenay Fun 5, giving runners a new way to push their limits. Competitors will run a 6.4 km loop (with 120m of elevation gain) on mostly single-track trails in the Cranbrook Community Forest.

Runners start every hour, on the hour, repeating loops until only one athlete remains. Finish your loop in under 60 minutes and you’ll be back at the start line for the next round.

All participants can chase their personal best, whether that’s two loops or ten! Most racers will receive a DNF mug (“Did Not Finish”) as a fun badge of honour for testing their physical and mental limits.
